Retirement Announcement

I repeatedly have this picture of calvary being a table God is setting for a feast. As he finishes the table, He decides He wants to make more room, so another table is set up, more places laid. He’s making room - for more. It’s obvious. The depth of leaders, the gifts, the way he’s healing restoring drawing together people. His presence in worship, the baptisms and lives given over to him. The table is set for more. He’s making room for the amazing more he wants to do.

It’s the same picture he’s been giving for me. “Make room for more.” And, after lots of discussion with my family and mentors and leaders here, not to mention many unexpected words from people, I’ve realized making room means retiring from full-time ministry.

So, I’ve let the board know I’m retiring in (mid/end) January 2026.

It’s exciting knowing God’s got us, and He’s working for more. Even the chance to let you know now gives us lots of time to do transition well and work with God to set the table for all he’s planning to do.

I can only begin to say how grateful my family and I are to be part of what God is doing here. You have been a gift to us - my family and I. And I’m so grateful to have shared in God’s moving in our lives together. I’m looking forward to the months ahead: celebrating, working on transition and getting to see what God will do.
