Dave is an ordinary guy who loves music, God, life...and technology. He has played piano since the age of 7, led worship from organ and piano since the age of 15, and has spent over 17 years in various roles as an organist, pianist, choir director, and contemporary worship leader at churches in Guelph, Waterloo, and mid-western Ontario.
Dave received his Grade 10 Piano from Royal Conservatory of Music in high school and has been constantly learning since, from private lessons in organ and voice and post-secondary courses and conferences in classical and church music, songwriting, contemporary and blended worship to integrating media and technology in worship.
Dave has also spent many years recording and performing with bands and ensembles, and serving in worship and ministry teams through United Church camps and the broader church community. Passionate about almost every kind of music, he lives for excellent music that meets us where we are and connects us with God and each other.
You will see Dave most around the church Sunday mornings and weekday evenings for rehearsals and other events. He has a degree in computer science, spends his days working at a financial services company, and lives in a fixer-upper house in central Kitchener with good friends, a big piano, and random acts of bacon.
