Refugee Family

The Ministries and Outreach team is currently assisting a family (Mom, Dad and 3 children) from Eritrea, Africa to come to Canada under refugee status.   We have been asked by a church in Ottawa to help in the process of bringing this family to Waterloo, in order that they can be close to family members.   The church in Ottawa will be supporting the family financially, while we will support them in adapting to their new life in Canada.  

The process is not a simple one, or a quick one.   We have been involved for a year, and we are currently waiting for their papers to be approved.   Please keep this family in your prayers that the approvals go through quickly and without road blocks.  

When the family does arrive in Canada, you can help in many ways such as: 

• pick up at airport
• finding an apartment
• providing food
• clothing donations
• furniture
• household appliances
• finding school, Drs, Dentists,
• government agencies for support of new Canadians

....to name just a few.
