Home - Ministries - Outreach Ministries - International Missions - Mexico 2011
In November 2011 a team from Calvary United will be serving in and around Ensenada, Mexico, which lies on the Pacific coast of Baja California - 70 miles south of the US border.
We will be working with YUGO ministries (Youth Unlimited Gospel Outreach). Since 1964, over 50,000 teens and adults have served in missions work with YUGO Ministries in Mexico.
YUGO's GOALS:
- To reach Mexicans with gospel
- To disciple Mexicans into reproducing churches which also have a heart for missions.
- To challenge more North Americans to get involved in World Missions.
YUGO is an interdenominational mission's organization, and a member of the ECFA (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability.
WHAT WILL WE BE DOING?
We will focus on a construction project. We will start and finish a house (usually 4 days) for a needy family. This will be our primary service project when we are down there. We may also plug into their children's ministry programs and serve the children of the area. We may have a chance to worship with them and experience church in a different culture.
