    Good Morning from Mexico

What a week it has been only two days of building and the framing is done, the siding is on, the roof is shingled and the drywall is ready for paint.  But best of all Gary’s girls team is ahead of the three men’s teams.  Go girls (and Rick and Brent).  We have had an amazing two days of stretching our limits and trying our hands at new skills with the support and encouragement of an amazing team.  Pastor Rosa and her paint crew made up of a group of children from the village most of them under the age of six have been hard at work painting both trim and themselves.

The children at our worksite are amazing the hugs and kisses have been in abundance.  After a difficult second day both physically and emotionally my day was put back into prospective yesterday when two of the neighbour girls made me crafts made from scrap wood and drywall.  The message was “I love you” okay there were a few tears shed but they were tears of joy.  But it reminded me of why we are here.

    What an amazing day!
Before we left San Diego we had the chance to go to the harbour. There we got see an aircraft carrier and walk around a park.
We left San Diego around noon and headed to Ensenada. Crossing the border was no problem. It is strange though to see some many armed soldiers around. They were at the border and other check out points throughout the trip. The ocean is incredibly beautiful and so vast.
It was really noticeable as we drove the disparity between the seemingly wealthy
